Less than two weeks to GrMD: it's time for QR codes.

We're less than two weeks out from the fourth annual Global reddit Meetup Day, which is on Saturday, June 15th. There were over 10,000 attendees last year, and we're hoping to see even more of you out there this year.

Just like last year, there will be a reddit trophy for attending a local meetup. The twist, however, is that we're bringing back a blast from the past: redditor QR code badges.

It works like this:

• print out a badge to take with you to the meetup (or use the version that works on your phone)
• go to a local meetup
• exchange usernames and secret codes with other redditors you meet, by QR code or the old fashioned way
• exchange conversation and banter with other redditors you meet. sadly there's no way for QR codes to do this yet
• on reddit, enter all the codes you collected

Head over to the new meetup page to find a local meetup and find out how to scan other redditors' QR codes. Remember: don't share your secret codes online or we'll have to fit you with a cone of shame.
